They don't seem to like constant writing in hot environments which the dashcam is subjected to which is completly the opposite for photography. Since installing the Lexar micro SD cards, it has been running Vicovation Vico-MF2 GPS Car Camcorder for almost 6 months. I boight a 32gb class 10 sandisk card for my dashcam. Lasted only a few months before giving up the ghost.

I now have a Samsung class 10 card in the dashcam and so far, so good. Sandisk actually recommend that peoole do not use their general range of memory cards in dashcams.
Can't remember exactly but only their highest end of cards are guaranteed for use in dashcams. Google 'sandisk dashcam' and you will find heaps of info That sounds wrong to me.
I bought a Sandisk Ultra class 10 micro SD card a couple of days ago, and it says on the packet that it's for full HD video, and is temperature and shock proof. It certainly doesn't say that you need the 'Extreme Pro' card for a dashcam. For actions cams which I'm thinking Vicovation Vico-MF2 GPS Car Camcorder supacentre one I bought isthey list four different grades, ranging from the ultra up to the extreme pro.
I have since used the Sandisks that were failing in the dashcams I have 3 of them, 2 were in my Mini and one was in wife's in mobile phones and have no issues. Have a read here: I have always trusted and used Sandisk cards in my devices but the Sandisk ultra died very Vicovation Vico-MF2 GPS Car Camcorder in my dashcam. The samsung card that I have in there now would have done at least 8 months worth of service.
Fingers crossed that it will continue to be trouble free. There is heaps of info out there regarding what are the best cards to use, i.

I'd advise capacitor dashcams for reliable operation in summer heat https: Yeah, Vicovation Vico-MF2 GPS Car Camcorder is an interesting one. The interweb is certainly full of stuff about the ultra cards dying in dashcams. The one I bought is for one of the Supacentre action cams which I want to use to record some of the tracks I drive. Hopefully it does the job.
